FULL COMMITMENT POLICY

100% Commitment and Participation Requirement – Why it’s Necessary

The requirement of NCFC for each student to participate in the full week often also means that students must choose between NCFC and another summer program with conflicting dates. Although we understand the temptation to try and do both if there is only a day or two of overlap, it inevitably proves detrimental to the student, their fellow students, and to NCFC on the whole, even if the other program is on-line, no matter how short a time it may be. Nor is it fair to the participants and administration of the conflicting program. For these reasons it is impossible for us to allow for any amount of missed participation during the NCFC for an overlapping outside activity.

We ask that students not ask us to make any exceptions to this policy. The time to choose your summer schedule is before you apply, and if it will be impossible for you to commit 100% to NCFC---which means not participating in any overlapping program during the flute camp session for any period of time--then this is not the year for you to apply to NCFC. Students who agree to this after acceptance and then decide to participate in a conflicting program will not receive a refund of any portion of their tuition.  Any student who disregards this policy during the session will be sent home immediately with no refund.

Please consider your choices carefully when planning your summer. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
